William Paul Ladd (Paul), 76, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 after a very valiant fight he succumbed peacefully after the removal of life support.
Paul was born on July 30, 1943 to Grady and Frankie Ladd in Daingerfield, Texas. After graduation from high school, he landed his various jobs as a machine operator.
He secured employment in 1985 at Faubion & Associate initially within the janitorial services and eventually becoming a fork lifter.
After retiring in 2018, Paul spent most of his time gardening as much as possible. Anyone who knew Paul knew that he was a very fair and honest man who believed in working hard and exhibited generosity to those who needed it.
In 1983, he met Denise (Smith) Ladd, and they wed in 1985.
He was predeceased by his parents, siblings Grady, Jr. and Patsy, He is survived by his wife, Denise Arleen Smith-Ladd; his sister, Kathy (Jones) Ladd; and brother H. Michael Ladd.
He left behind his three children Jerrold, William Paul Ladd, Jr. and Sherrie. Additionally, two step children Christopher Smith and Lakishia Smith.
He also had a host of grandchildren and many relatives.
Paul leaves behind many friends. He was especially fond of Dale Tijerina and Jimmy Higginbotham. He remembers many other friends and acquaintances.
He was also dearly cherished by Leo Faubion, CEO & President at Faubion & Associates. He will also be missed by employees (present and past) at Faubion & Associates.
He was a passionate gardener who could be found in his backyard tending to flowers or growing vegetables. He took enjoyment as a cook savoring the garden grown vegetables.
He will definitely be remembered as a very humble man.
